The thrift store is honestly a modern day treasure hunt for me! I love going and digging through bins and searching racks for the best deals. Anytime I see shelves or old tables I always try to scoop them up for a good price because I know they can be made over into something amazing with just a little bit of creativity! I found this particular shelf for three dollars and I had a coupon for 50% off so it ended up being $1.50!!! You seriously, couldn't find a better deal!
I started off by adding a couple coats of bright blue craft paint. I think it ended up being about 4 coats of paint.
Next I pulled out my trusty hot glue gun and glued some beautiful brightly colored rhinestones to the accent areas of the shelf! SOO adorable!
Next I used my hot glue gun to glue some old mason jars to the bottom of the top shelf. I glued the lids so you can just screw the jar on and off! So awesome!!! I love old mason jars!
Here is a picture of the finished project sitting in the sun to dry! I also incorporated a mirror to the back of the shelf above the mason jars. I love how it turned out!
Finally! Here it is hanging up on the wall! The last thing I did was screw in some jewelry hooks to hang necklaces !
